"The best time to plant a tree is twenty years ago. The second best time is now" - Anon
Paul Wells is a fully qualified tree surgeon (Royal Forestry Society Cert. Arboriculture) and can carry out all types of tree work from simple pruning to full-scale removal. Garden Task Force has full public liability insurance, certificates and all the equipment needed to do efficient and effective work, including stump removal, chipping and removal of waste.
Tree care is a complex business and should not be undertaken by the inexperienced. Pruning has to be done at the right time of year when the sap is not rising; early identification and treatment of a variety of diseases is vital to the health of the tree; and removal of branches needs to be done safely and without risk of infecting the tree.
Correct planting and formative pruning of young trees can save much work and expense later. Mature trees should be inspected regularly and advice sought if you have any concerns. Please be aware of the local regulations concerning trees and any TPOs that might be in force.
Hedges - living boundaries
Hedges are fantastically useful in the garden, whether to screen off unsightly areas, provide privacy, act as a
wind break or to encourage wildlife. We are happy to advise on choice of species and carry out hedge planting
and maintenance, including hedge-laying, seasonal trimming and shaping.
